Loomis Employees Receive Rotary Scholarships

The Holyoke Rotary Club awarded ten college scholarships to high school seniors at their meeting on May 27, 2008. Two of the recipients are employees of The Loomis Communities.

Danielle Boucino, a student at Granby High School, is the sister of an Eagle Scout of Troop 306 in Granby, and a member of the waitstaff at Applewood at Amherst. Danielle will be attending Western New England College in the fall as a Forensics Biology major.

Jason Todd, a student at Holyoke High School, is at the top of his class, and a member of the waitstaff at Loomis House. Jason will be attending Commonwealth College at the University of Massachusetts. in the fall as a Pre-med/Biology major.  

The Holyoke Rotary Club has been awarding scholarships since 1991 to students who excel in academics, demonstrate a strong work ethic and leadership skills, and participate in extracurricular activities.  Each student chosen receives a $1,000 scholarship. To date, the Holyoke Rotary Club has awarded more than $200,000 to deserving young people who attend Holyoke Catholic High School, Granby High School, Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter School, Holyoke High School, South Hadley High School, and Dean Technical High School.   

Danielle and Jason were chosen from a group of ???? applicants. The Loomis Communities is very proud of our shining stars.
