John Lithgow Performs at Applewood

John Lithgow presented an abbreviated version of his one man show from Broadway: Stories by Heart to the residents of Applewood on August 18, 2008. It was a tender and funny reflection on the art of animated storytelling; invoking memories of his grandmother, his father and of his family’s love of reading aloud to one another.
John Lithgow is an American actor perhaps best-known for his starring role as Dr. Dick Solomon in the NBC sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun. He has also achieved success on stage, film, and radio. He has earned multiple Emmy Awards and Tony Awards, as well as two Oscar nominations. He has also recorded music for children.
