Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk
September 27, 2009
The day of the Memory Walk turned out to be a very rainy day but, nonetheless, a group of spirited Loomis House residents loaded into a van heading to Stanley Park. While they were small in number, they represented many, many residents and staff of Loomis Communities who had sold blueberry muffins, forget-me-nots, bracelets, and raised money over the previous month. Each person in that small group has experienced the devastating effects of Alzheimer's Disease first hand. They were only too happy to endure a bit of rain to support the Alzheimer’s Association vision for a world without Alzheimer's. Proudly, that small group represented a large gift. Loomis Communities raised $5,979.00 to accelerate research for a cure, support for families living with the disease, and promote brain health!
