A Valentine’s Day cookie sale held at each of our communities yielded $1,174.00 and a $500 company match to support food programs at the Amherst Survival Center, Providence Ministries in Holyoke, and Open Pantry in Springfield.
Spring 2010 Speakers Series
- Staff at Loomis Communities led programs on Healthy Eating and Cooking for One, When to Worry about Forgetting, and Supporting a Grieving Friend or Loved-One
- The public was invited to lectures by notable professionals speaking on these topics: Young at Any Age: Foods that Add Years to your life and life to your years, Leading a BrainHealthy Life, Successful Aging and Sexuality and Older Adults

Staff and residents donated 102 new books and $30 for the Hasbro Summer Learning Initiative/Literacy Project.
