The Annual Applewood Wait List Luncheon, on Friday, December 6th was a great success. All 50 of the prospects who reserved a spot attended and had a wonderful time. Many have emailed and sent thank you notes stating it was an elegant affair and the meal was superb. Celebrating the Past, Welcoming the Future - Japanese Sister City Visit
Applewood was pleased to host members of an eight-person delegation from Kanageski, Japan and the Amherst Selectboard. On September 30, they toured Applewood and held a planning meeting over dinner. The visit, called “Celebrating the Past, Welcoming the Future,” marks the twentieth anniversary of the sister city friendship between Kanageski and Amherst. The Amherst Kanegaski Committee promotes friendship and on-going relations with Kanegasaki, Japan through special events and ongoing contacts between residents or government bodies of the two communities. David W. Scruggs, New President and CEO

The Loomis Communities is pleased to announce that David W. Scruggs has joined the organization as President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Scruggs’ career serving older adults spans over two decades. He has served as Chief Financial Officer for several continuing care retirement communities, most recently at Montereau, Inc., in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
