The American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) is recognizing the Nursing Center at Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing with the Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award. The award is for excellent reviews by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid for high-performing skilled nursing centers and the leaders who make them excel.
The ACHCA believes that nursing center excellence is a reflection of leadership excellence. Only 80 nursing centers (or 19 % of the 421 licensed nursing centers in Massachusetts) received this honor. For the honor, the ACHCA requires:
- Three consecutive years of superior performance on surveys
- High performance on quality measures associated with Advancing Excellence
- 80% or greater occupancy
The recognition for Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing is noteworthy because 2014 was a year of leadership transition with Nursing Home Administrators, Nancy Godbout and Marcia Zimmer working closely with The Loomis Communities COO, Karen Jackson. Craig Johnsen joined the team in August.
