Under the supervision and guidance of a licensed nurse, the CNA is responsible for assisting with direct patient care within the scope of their practice as well as other work on the unit which supports the patient environment.
Ensures the delivery of high quality nursing care, in compliance with current Federal, State, and local standards, to residents by supervising the nursing personnel and performing the following essential functions.
As a care partner, the resident assistant is responsible for assisting the resident with the activities of daily living. Provides home services and assistance with ADL’s to support residents ability to live safely with dignity, independence and choice in a supportive person centered manner.
The Home Care Assistant works independently under the direction of the home care director and community’s nurses using sound judgment in the implementation of the service plan. Must maintain a caring attitude towards residents at all times and be capable of good judgment in all situations.
Takes a genuine interest in the resident by listening to their needs, ensuring that their environment is clean and safe. Provides supportive services on and off The Loomis Communities’ campuses to meet the needs, specific interests and support the uniqueness and autonomy of each individual resident.
