Leadership Team

After spending 30 years as the CFO, Marge became the President and CEO in February 2020. She is a Certified Public Accountant, and worked in a local accounting firm for eight years before joining the Loomis Communities. She serves as Chair of the Board of the Greater Holyoke Chamber of Commerce, serves on the Audit Committee of the United Way, and serves on the Capital Projects Planning Committee for the City of West Springfield. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts, and an MBA from Western New England College. She lives in West Springfield with her husband Paul. Marge has two grown daughters.

Barry is currently the Director of Human Resources and Compliance Officer for the Loomis Communities.  For over 20 years, he has held executive Human Resource leadership position in many health care settings from hospitals to long-term care both locally and nationally. His passion lies in improving the team member experience and organizational culture. He received his bachelor’s degree from Boston College and a master’s degree from the Emerson College -Tufts University School of Medicine Health Communication Program. He is also a “Fellow for Life” with the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship, after receiving the fellowship in graduate school. He and his wife, Christy, reside in Western Massachusetts with their three children.

John joined the Loomis Communities in January of 2022. Prior to that, John held development and leadership roles at the Williston Northampton School, the Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA, Berkshire Hills Music Academy, and the Springfield Symphony Orchestra. Before his pursuits in Philanthropy and the Arts, John had a successful career in college coaching, first at Harvard University, and then at his alma mater, Trinity College (CT). John lives in South Hadley with his wife Brenna. Their daughter Teagan just graduated college in 2026 and now lives in the greater Boston area and their son Bennett lives in Baltimore. When not at work or spending quality time with his family, John enjoys attending and presenting live music, and promoting and supporting the future of culture and the arts here in South Hadley, the Pioneer Valley, and beyond.  John is currently a Producer and Board Member of the Northampton Jazz Festival.

With experience in nonprofit leadership and management over the past fifteen years, Kristen was formerly the Vice President at The Arc of Opportunity with oversight of programming and support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Recently the Vice President of Recovery Environments at Community Healthlink/UMass with oversight of residential programs and housing for adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Kristen holds a Bachelors from Assumption University and a Masters of Arts in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Kristen started her career as a mental health clinician working with people across the lifespan. She is a certified executive and leadership coach. When not at work, Kristen enjoys travel, spending time with family, and watching the Patriots.

Maureen has worked with nonprofit organizations serving older adults in Massachusetts and the Philadelphia region. Her career has spanned Life Plan Communities, long-term care, and home and community-based services, shaping her belief that aging should be viewed not simply through the lens of care, but through opportunities for connection, purpose, choice, and continued contribution.

She joined The Loomis Communities in 2017 after serving as Executive Director with the Masonic Health System in Charlton and Leeds, Massachusetts.

Maureen is passionate about challenging ageism and creating inclusive communities where older adults are valued for who they are, their life experiences, and the contributions they continue to make. She believes that meaningful relationships, purposeful engagement, individual wellness, and opportunities for connection are essential to creating communities where people can thrive at every stage of life.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from La Salle University and a Master of Science in Gerontological Services from Saint Joseph’s University, both in Philadelphia. Maureen is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.

Lori is a graduate of Holyoke Community College and the University of Massachusetts. A Registered Nurse with experience in hospitals, private industry, home care, and long-term care, she has brought her passion and expertise to The Loomis Communities for more than 25 years. As an Eden Associate and CARF surveyor, Lori has worked to improve the lives of older adults while advancing culture change and new ideas about aging throughout The Loomis Communities and the broader community. She also served as the Western Massachusetts representative to the Massachusetts Culture Change Coalition. Lori has been a featured speaker on culture change in elder care throughout the country and has been featured in print, radio, and television. In 2024, she received the Pillar of the Community of Springfield Award. Lori resides in Holyoke with her husband. She is the mother of four grown sons and the grandmother of seven grandchildren.
