An important lever in the fight against climate change is innovation. Professor Erin Baker will discuss the role of technological change in the solution to climate change and draw on prior research to show that humans tend to underestimate our ingenuity in meeting challenges. This means that we can set very ambitious goals, knowing that society will find innovative solutions. The talk will go on to address the questions: how do we choose the options that are most just, and how do we make the options we choose more just?
